8. Research and planning-survey results

After conducting a survey from 14 people i conducted a bar chat showing the results which show that red, black and white is more favourable so we will pursue this color scheme

8. Research and planning-Front cover skills i learnt

We were using adobe photoshop to create our front cover poster and i learned a whole set of skills compared to last year. I learned how to crop and fade text. My layering was more consistent and my positioning and color correction has also improved.

This is our written part of the film review and obtains all the conventions of regular magazines.

We set specific tasks for each individual of the group.
The Roles are done to match our individual strengths.

Hamza Ahmed was tasked with with Doing the front cover on Photoshop. He has very good Photoshop skills and obtains a good amount of knowledge on Photoshop

Me(Santhush Halwathura) was tasked with doing the journalism task. We needed a person who was familiar with writing and was skilled and familiar with journalism

Yagmur Celik was tasked with doing the film review layout on indesign as she has had experience with doing that and had proved a good amount of work last year and showed she was skillful.

We could not find any suitable fonts for our title however we are planning to use a different and more reliable source for our title which is a site called Dafont.com.

After only the first day of uploading it to Youtube we have had massive positive feedback. Allready we have 100% thumbs up ratio and over 200+ views. The group is very pleased

We have finally finished our final movie and just made tiny adjustments to get the sound going in perfect and a tiny color correction so its perfect to be published on youtube. Here is the first draft of the movie:

Here is the final feedback of our short film, we got really good feedback most of the film had strong positives the only slight negative would have to be the timing however it wasn't an issue.

Today we got feedback from our class. I was very pleased with our feedback as we got more positives than negatives.

Summary:
Positives: Great Angles/Shots
Good Storyline
Great Sound Effects
Good Cutting
Good selection of location

Negatives: Acting (However we are not being assesed on acting)
So in conclusion we had perfect feedback but since we had some time in our hand we tried different sounds to try and make it even better

Presenting to the class

Presenting to the class our complete or incomplete music video or short film to get some feed back from the audience for improvements, we were told for our short film to work on our audio and how some parts could fade in to give a more natural flow. Other than that we were finished editing our film. Overall it was a good experience as we got positive feedback.

In todays lesson Vanessa (Our Teacher) told us to get read to start presenting everything together . We are planning to present next week.

7. Editing- What i learned so far

It's now been at least a week of editing and I have improved my skills vastly when using this technology. I learned how to crop and cut clips and also add slow motion effects , color correction and also import sound and adjust the sound setting so it flows with the scene

7. Editing-Research and Planning(Video)-Editing our footage

Today we were editing our footage we have completed our clips of what footage we have ...We were working on sound effects during this lesson. We are getting used to the sounds and the final cut pro which is the app used for editing our video.

We have finally finished shooting both the park scene and office scene. It took us quite a while but the shots we took were worth it. The production team were great and the actors were consistent. Here is some pictures in the process:

This media lesson we were planning our case studies deciding which overs to use and how we are going to present them on which technology . I decided to choose Prezi as it works well when presenting ideas and I have personal experience when using this technology

We are now in the process of planning our case studies for our front cover. We had a lesson where we briefly as a group took part in looking at films which are our same genre. However we also sketched how the front cover layout should be. Some Films we looked at were Captain America , Taken 1 , 2 and 3 , Mission Impossible, Casino Royale Inside Man , Hit man etc. All these have a link with our film and here are a few examples
